Posted on Tuesday, October 04, 2005 @ 09:45 AM EDT

amichalek writes "Launching a PR campaign is an under-utilized strategy for generating new business. There are many guides available online for how to construct a press release, but not as many for how to actually run a campaign. That's why I was thrilled to find an article on precisely this topic - How to implement a PR Strategy in 7 Days.

In Al Lautenlager's article, he divides a PR strategy into steps to take each day.
Day 1: Determine your target
Day 2: Develop a database of contacts from day one
Day 3: Determine what PR story you will communicate
Day 4: Write the actual press release
Day 5: Send your press release to contacts from day two
Day 6: Use your press releases for other things
Day 7: Continue your efforts to establish relationships with editors, reporters, and producers.
