worddiva writes "Moving Through Resistance

Tuesday, November 12, 8:00am to 10:30am
Eastern University - 1300 Eagle Road, Saint Davids, PA

Join us for the November Breakfast Club Meeting, where our speaker, Tricia Steege, will guide us through an interactive session on the topic "Moving Through Resistance."

Often times we want to run from resistance. However, frequently it provides valuable information that can be used to deliver better results for your client and yourself.

Through a highly facilitated discussion Tricia will assist us in developing our own "moving through resistance" plans. Come away from the session with the ability to use resistance in a positive way. Some of the topics include:
  • Identifying what resistance is and when it occurs in the consulting cycle.
  • Moving the client through their resistance and coming out on the positive side.
  • Learning the skills to deal with resistance before it derails you.

Tricia Steege, CEO of Transformation Strategies, supports organizations in accomplishing their business profitability goals by assisting them in growing their capacity, innovation and agility in the new economy. She applies her 12 years experience across broad industries to facilitate individuals and groups within organizations undergoing key change and transformations in their existence. She holds a M.Ed in Human Resources Education from Boston University, a Certificate of Organizational Development from National Training Laboratories and a B.A in Biology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. A partial list of her clients include CIGNA, Unisys, Lockheed Martin, John Han***** Insurance and Fleet Bank. She has authored articles published by McGraw Hill including ?What are Your Teams Needs?? and ?Stages of Team Development."

Directions to St. Davids campus can be found at: http://www.eastern.edu/welcome/directions2.html#St.%20Davids%20Campus

Once you turn into Eastern University?s Main Entrance from Eagle road follow the road through campus passing the campus directory, over a bridge, through a parking lot and park down in the lower McInnis lot. Then follow signs to the Great Room in Gough (pronounced like the word golf) Hall. They will follow the path on the left side of the softball field which is visible from the lower lot. The path will go along a pretty pond and you'll walk up a hill. Gough hall will be on your left hand side. Our meeting room is the first room on the left once you enter Gough hall."
